Grades 7th - 12th
The Word of Life Teen Club spans grades 7-12. the Fair Haven Teen Club meets from September through May each Wednesday night from 7 pm - 8:15 pm. We meet in the fellowship hall at the church. We start off the night with an Icebreaker, then we have song time, prayer, and light snacks before the Bible lesson. These are challenging lessons from the Word of Life series taught by Brother Jeff Burack, Brother Larry Bowling, and Brother Brian Fuson. It is very important to teach the next generation about Jesus Christ.
Just like their parents, teens need time to refresh and separate from the world of cell phones, internet, music, TV, and anything else that might influence them in the wrong way. That is why it is important to have a place where they can come and be around other Christian teens to encourage them to live a life pleasing to God. We are all about communicating truth ... Biblical truth. We want to reach teens whose culture constantly changes, with the truth that never changes.
We have at least two activities per month.
The first Sunday of every month we have an Afterglow right after the evening service. The other activities are usually on Friday or Saturday.
- In the Word of Life Club, we seek to establish the following:
- Lead the teen to know Christ the Savior
- Challenge young people to reach their their world for Christ
- Develop habits of living based on God's Word
- Train him or her in Christian character-building and Christ-honoring service
The program works toward these goals by involving the teens in the following ways:
- Bible Study
- Daily Quiet Time
- Faithful Church Attendance
- Evangelism
- Scripture Memorization
- Christian Service
- Christian Reading
